I wanted to pick up a couple cookies while passing through the NN and oddly enough, there aren't many bakeries in the culinary capital of the world! So that led me to the mall and Great American Cookie. If you've every been to a mall cookie stand then you pretty much know what to expect. The stand was run but a group of high-school looking kids, but they were polite enough. They had probably 20 different types of cookies, so I got the M&M and sprinkled cookies to take home. The two cost me about $4, so it wasn't terrible, but not cheap either. They're on the soft side (aka, lots of butter), so what's not to like about them? In case you want to pay with a card -- there's a $5 minimum (but the employee let it slide for me since I was close). Overall: A typical mall cookie shop. It fit the bill for some convenient 'fresh' cookie, but as you would expect it was a little pricey for what you get. I probably won't come back, but that's not because it was bad, I just don't buy mall cookies very often.
